Driver Qualification File
A Driver Qualification File is a certified background file required by the Department of Transportation for all drivers employed by companies with a USDOT number.
Companies must keep this file on hand, either physically or digitally, to present it during safety audits.
The Driver Qualification File only needs to be completed once when a new driver is hired and must be done for every individual operating under the company’s USDOT number.
